Global Value Chains and Disruptions in East Asia
Global Value Chain (GVC) is critical for economic development and job creation in many countries, particularly in emerging markets. Nanyang Centre for Emerging Markets takes stock of current trends in GVCs and examines how recent international developments may impact GVCs and ultimately, emerging markets' growth.
Asst Prof Charlene Chen receives SSHR fellowship
Asst Prof Charlene Chen from the Marketing Division has been awarded the 2019 Social Science and Humanities Research (SSHR) Fellowship by the Social Science Research Council. Under this fellowship, she will receive research funds of up to $1 million over five years. This is the first time that an NBS faculty member has received the fellowship and we are proud of her achievements!

Professional branding to attract your next job SGUnited Traineeships Programme
At the recent webinar organised by NTU NBS Alumni Association in collaboration with LinkedIn, our guest speakers shared ways to leverage the platform to enhance one's professional brand and connect to new opportunities. To support recent graduates during current economic climate, Workforce Singapore introduced the SGUnited Traineeships Programme to equip them with valuable industry experience and a firmer foothold in the job market during the economic recovery.
Realising a family dream and making the most of it How HR students at NBS are learning, adapting, and thriving
Accounting student Chua Junjie is the first in his family to go to university. Now in his second year, he shares how bursary and scholarship support has enabled him to immerse into campus life and find ways to give back. Student clubs at NBS provide valuable opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally. Faced with the evolving COVID-19 situation, students in the Human Resource Consulting Club were quick to devise a contingency plan for their biggest event of the year.
