As a practitioner, Lee Gilbert assisted varied private and public sector clients in Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East to acquire and implement computing and telecommunications solutions to business problems. He served the United Nations Secretariat as Regional Advisor for Technology Transfer and Development, Harvard Business School as Future Information System Faculty Fellow, the Institute of Science (Singapore) as leader of its executive education programme, and SRI International as senior management consultant. His research and publication addresses national informational infrastructure and strategic planning for electronic commerce policy, and his current focus is to understand how startups and SMEs can overcome barriers to growth, and to advance the art of case learning.
