Trimester 3 (2010/2011)

I have really enjoyed my semester as an exchange student in the Nanyang MBA. It has been a pleasure getting to know each participant and I wish that I had more time in Singapore. Many of the participants have asked me how the Nanyang MBA compares to my MBA program back home. My answer is this: The Nanyang MBA is world-class.

Lectures are engaging, socials are fun, the people are warm and the class trip was in Bintan. What more could an MBA ask for? The participants have taught me a lot about their industries, home countries, about Singapore and about what is nice to eat. I can move forward in life now that I have checked off two of my lifetime goals, that is, to eat authentic Singaporean Laksa and to participate in a truly international community.

In summary, everything I needed to know about life, I learned in Vijay Sethi’s class. That being “…large, diverse crowds of independent thinking people are better at predicting the future of solving a problem than the brightest experts among them.” (Google Prediction Markets Case) The participants are the most valuable and cherished aspect of my time at Nanyang Business School. Thank you for making me think just a little bit harder and just a little bit differently each day. Put more simply, from each of them, I have gained a new perspective, one that is invaluable.
