Participating in the MBA exchange at NTU was a great experience that I would highly recommend to those interested in working or traveling in Southeast Asia. I thoroughly enjoyed learning business topics from an Asian perspective in classes at NTU, then traveling and seeing the different Asian cultures in and around Singapore.

The best part of being at NTU in Singapore was the comfort of being in an English-speaking environment combined with the unique culture of Singapore - a melting pot of Asian nationalities and foods. While Singapore is not a cheap city to live and play in, there are cheap eats all around that help make up for it. Additionally, my classmates at NTU were great hosts, inviting me to try new foods or grab drinks in one of the Quays with them.

My term at NTU was enjoyable; however, one major thing I would do differently is live off-campus. Living on-campus at Graduate Hall was extremely affordable, but it made getting to downtown Singapore quite a task – taking public transport sometimes took an hour-and-a-half and a taxi ride to downtown was approximately $30 US.

Overall, I am definitely glad I participated in the MBA exchange at Nanyang. I met great people with whom I plan to keep in touch and I would definitely return to Singapore to work if the right opportunity comes about.
