My time in Singapore was a wonderful experience. The classes, professors and staff at Nanyang were incredible and the opportunities I had outside of class were unforgettable. My first introduction to Nanyang was at orientation during which we were given a full tour of the campus and introduced to a few professors at the welcome lunch. Everyone was extremely helpful and made my time there so enjoyable.

My classes were quite interesting and while challenging, the professors were always available for any necessary help outside of class. It was a nice change of pace to have both a global and Southeast Asia focus. The other students came from all over the world, which added greatly to the classroom discussion. In addition to attending class, I was able to spend some time traveling in Southeast Asia and spend time in many cities I had never been. Singapore is so close to many outstanding cultural sites and it is very easy and affordable to travel. I am currently plotting my trip back so I can see more of the region!

On weekends when I was unable to travel, I visited historical sites and museums and sample delicious cuisines. All in all, the experience was fantastic and one I will never forget.
