  • Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons), Singapore University

Mr Sim Cher Khee joined NTU as an Adjunct Associate Professor in August 2006. Cher Khee graduated from the University of Singapore in 1980 with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree. From 1980 -1987, he worked in Arthur Andersen in the firm’s Audit division. When the Pan-Electric collapse in the mid-eighties raised concerns over corporate governance, the Singapore Telecom Audit Committee selected Cher Khee to head and build up its Internal Audit team. Cher Khee’s tenure in Singapore Telecom spanned from 1987 – 1996. Deciding to put his working experience to practice, Cher Khee became a risk consulting professional in 1996 and was appointed in 1998 as a Risk Consulting Partner in Andersen, specializing in outsourcing projects for internal auditing and internal controls. For the period from mid 2002 to mid 2006, Cher Khee worked in SembCorp Industries Ltd, first as its Head, Group Internal Audit (2002 – 2003) and Group Chief Risk Officer (2004 – 2006).
