Mr Eric Lian joined UOB on 1 July 2013 and was appointed President and CEO of UOB (China) on 17 September 2013. He is a member of the Bank's Executive Committee.

Mr Lian has 23 years of banking experience. He began his banking career with UOB in 1989 and prior to re-joining the Bank, he was previously the co-head of wholesale banking of Standard Chartered Bank for China. He was with Standard Chartered for 18 years and held senior positions in both business and risk management.

Mr Lian graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He is also a very supportive member of NBS and sits on the Alumni Advisory Board working closely with our senior management.
